Tye Tribbett
Tye Tribbett is an American gospel singer, songwriter, keyboardist and founder of the Grammy-nominated gospel group Tye Tribbett & G.A. (short for "Greater Anointing"). For more than a decade, Tribbett has been collaborating with the likes of Jessica Simpson, Justin Timberlake, Faith Hill, Sting and more prior to releasing his debut work in 2004. Since then, Tribbett has released three more works, including Victory Live, which was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary R&B Gospel album in 2006. The group has also performed on the BET Awards, the NAACP Image Awards and the Stellar Awards.
Tribbett is the son of a pastor and a choir director from El Bethel Church of Christ in Camden, New Jersey. He was a keyboard scholar at an early age learning notes on the piano before learning the ABCs. In 1996, Tribbett and a group of friends and siblings tried out a few songs before emerging as Tyrone Tribbett & Greater Anointing.
